Summertime is Bride's Time

Remember when a bridal shower meant nuts, mints, and punch in the church "social hall"?

Take a trip down memory lane as I describe the bridal shower I recently helped host.

Our conversation piece was the vintage bridal gown displayed in the back of the fellowship hall. The round tables were decorated with full length white tablecloths overlaid with burlap and blue tulle ( I love to mix the formal with the informal). Our simple individual table arrangements were white impatients "planted" in small depression era cut and pressed glass bowls.

A large floral arrangement of blue hydrangeas and English ivy adorned the refreshment table.

All of our serving pieces, including the punch bowl were collectible glassware items. The large crocheted table doily is a heirloom item.

Our Menu:

Curried Chicken Salad with Assorted Crackers

Chocolate Poundcake

Fresh Fruit Mixed Nuts Mints

Punch

We had a delightful time entertaining this bride !!

Old South Antique Mall is brimming with all the items you need to entertain and to gift the summer bride and groom.
